UltraSens in partnership with the Instituto Pedro Nunes (Coimbra), has developed systems for inspection and quality control for the paper industry.

Through different lighting, capturing video images and its subsequent processing through developed algorithms, it is possible to characterize some of the paper surface properties: water lines, starch failures, abrasive, color and paper roughness. Whole movement system, synchronization of lighting and image acquisition is computer controlled and then proceed to the data processing results and its storage.
